A: We use only the highest quality products on the market. Most of the brands in my kit are of professional grade, which assures wonderful finish, coverage and color pay-off. For airbrush we use Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, which is water based and vegan, great for very sensitive skin; as well as Temptu, which is silicon based, totally waterproof and incredibly long lasting. Our favorite brands are Smashbox, Makeup Forever, Laura Mercier, Lancome, Urban Decay & Chanel.
Q. Will you travel to me or do I have to come to you?
A. WE will travel to your location of choice on the wedding day. For the trial/consulation I would like to invite you to visit me at my studio in Old City at 158 North 3rd st, Philadelphia, Pa 19106 (by appointment only). If you prefer to meet for trial at your location we can arrange that also, however additional traveling fee may apply. Weekday, evening and weekend time slots is available to book your trial session.
Q: How early should I book makeup and hair for my wedding?
A: As soon as possible! We often get booked from 1 year to 6 months in advance so the sooner you contact and book us the bigger chance that we will have your date available. We operate on fist come fist serve basis and we can only reserve your date with a contract and retainer in place.
Q: When should I book my triai?
A: I recommend that you wait with your trial until about 6-8 weeks before your wedding. Many brides shop around for makeup and have multiple trials done with several makeup and hair artists. I do not recommend that, especially if you still have a year to 6 months before your wedding. Such random trials can cost you not only a lot of money but also frustration. You should book makeup and hair based on the quality of their portfolio and meet for a trial closer to your wedding day.
Q: My mother is nervous about having her makeup done. Can she come in for a trial as well?
A: Yes! She is most welcome to come in for a trial and so are other ladies from your bridal party. The fee for their trial is $85-$100 per person.
Q: Can I have more then one trial run?
A: Yes, you can. Just be aware that each additional trial comes with the same fee as the first one. One of the reasons why I advise to wait with the trial until a date closer to your wedding is that your ideas about what you want might change and you might end up spending unnecessary money on multiple trials if you come too early.
Q: Why do you charge for your trial? Many makeup artists offer free trials...
A: We charge for trial since it is a service we provide for you which requires time, skills and product. Trial is a very evolved process, which involves analysis of your needs, precise makeup application and possible revisions. We believe our skills and experience are very valuable and we do not offer them for free.
